Applicants must be:

• aged 17-24 years of age at the time applications are called for
• are New Zealand residents of Pacific descent
• and can demonstrate that they are involved in their community.

Please note that shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a police check. Their permission will be sought should this be required.

Why do you think you deserve this Award? *

Describe how you met the criteria, and give examples of what you've achieved under the catgeory you're applying for.

1. If you are applying for the Leadership award, provide proof of eligibility to enrol in your chosen course of study at the University of Auckland (e.g. a fees invoice, letter of acceptance into a programme of your choice, academic record etc).
2. If you are applying for the Creativity award, provide details about how you have demonstrated a level of skill, talent, passion, enthusiasm and tenacity to a creative project you've been involved in.
3. If you are applying for the Inspiration award address the following question - Please describe how and why you would like to make a difference to the lives of others OR develop and use the skills you have gained to improve the lives of others? (indicate where you have done this, why and how).
4. If you are applying for the Innovation award provide proof of eligibility to enrol in the Air New Zealand Aviation Institute's first year pre-employment aircraft maintenance training programme (e.g. copies of NCEA Level 2 or equivalent passes in Math, Physics and English). Also describe how you have shown innovation by solving an engineering challenge through a school project, hobby or employment.

Provide at least two written references to illustrate your ability to meet the criteria of the award you are applying for, your potential to advancing positive outcomes in the Pacific community and why you deserve the award.
